View PowerPath Host Virtual Machines

PowerPath is host-based software that provides automated data path management and load-balancing capabilities for heterogeneous server, network, and storage deployed in physical and virtual environments.

This feature is not supported by storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Hosts > PowerPath to open the PowerPath Hosts list view.
  3. Select a PowerPath Host and click the information icon Details icon.
  4. In the details panel, click the number in the VMs field to open the VMs list view.
    The following properties display:
    • Name—The VM name
    • OS Name—The VM operating system

    A link allows you to add ESXi or vCenter viClient credentials to retrieve more information about the Virtual Machine. In that case, the following additional properties are displayed:

    • Power State—The VM power status
    • CPU Count—The number of CPUs assigned to the VM
    • Total Memory—The total RAM assigned to the VM
    • State—The current state of the VM
    • Address—The IP address of the VM
